Time for some 1970s nostalgia: "Save water .... shower with a friend!"

Like another earlier post mentioned, perhaps she'd like some company in there.

mentioning age is relevant because this type of behavior (her response) is typical of a 20 something year old. Not a 40 something.
If she is inconsiderate about this, then imagine if / when you get married how she'd treat finances and other responsibilities. When you get married, problems only get amplified, not solved.
Dump her and move on.

My Ex Wife use to shower that long. She was a huge fan of Brad Pitt and Christan Slater back in the day so imagine that was her, "me time" with the boys during those long showers

Do you want to be with a gf who's that rude to you, OP?

But as for the shower issue, does she take these marathon showers every day? Twice/week? When I lived in CA, I would shower twice/week (when I needed to wash my hair, so the shower served dual-purpose and was therefore longer than a quick shower, though nowhere near 1/2 hr.), and would dry-wash the rest of the time, meaning--with a washcloth at the sink. This system, btw, is what I'd heard was common in Europe. So I figured that the water I saved on my non-shower days made up my water allowance on the shower days.

Outside of this issue, how do you get along with her? Any other areas of friction? Has she ever been rude to you before, and just written you off like that? Seems like a small red flag, something to keep an eye on, but you be the judge.

Does she just not care about Californias drought or does she not see how dire the situation is?
Some reading might wake her up to why you are concerned.=

Whoa......

Not for nothing but didn't you feel gross ?

I am friends with someone who is in his 50's and he's got no idea about hygiene. He brushes his teeth once a day never flosses doesn't wash clothes for weeks at a time and doesn't care if his house is dirty.

He is a peace neck from San Francisco.

I shower twice a ***day
Brush my teeth 3 times per day/ Floss at night
Change underwear and socks everyday
Cologne twice a day (after shower)
Deodorant twice a day
Talc powder on privates and feet twice a day.
Mouthwash at night before I hop into bed.

The ladies down in Tijuana tell me " Hueles Muy Bien Mi Amor , No Como Los Otros Hombres Que Apestan De Mal Olor "

Yeah, this is the real reason the OP should be concerned. He's not overreacting.

Wait a minute. You clean yourself up like that and then go to Tijuana for the ladies (of the evening?) and they touch all your cleaned up stuff?

I've been to Tijuana and am, shall we say, "familiar" with the ladies there.

Hmm, is it an overhead shower or a hand held? Maybe more going on in there besides a shower.

It's her soap and her "stuff", and she'll wash it for as long as she wants!
