In that see no evil one at a 7/8 year old I remember my mum had a go at me as I was laughing at a few of the swear words in it .. LOL

And Madeline Kahn... Between blazing Saddles and Clue I was a fan.

No one mentioned Woman in Red - with Kelly Le Brock - and my CD handle is an homage to her by the way...loved Wilder in that movie. He was such a talent, and I read today that the only award he ever got was an Emmy for a guest appearance on the sitcom Will & Grace. Shocking.

I remember reading about his wife Gilda's diagnosis and subsequent passing from ovarian cancer around the time it happened; it was clear from the interviews that he was deeply in love with Gilda and he seemed to retreat from acting and public life after her passing away.

So glad we can relive all his many brilliant performances even after his passing.

Blazing Saddles was the first movie I remember watching on 'On TV' back in the 70s, unforgettable.

I think Depp's version was very solid, but Wilder's version is the gold standard.
