I think there is a contingent of potential buyers who love Mustangs and Camaro but know they are terrible daily drivers because of fuel economy above other things. I love the Camaro but I’d never own a Chevy product and they are much more fun as rentals (got one for LA next weekend.) I think the electric Mustang will probably do well in sales.

Thanks for the rep.
Your ? about Striped Bass.
I've caught many SB around California- San Luis Reservoir/San Luis Forebay/ CA Aqueduct/ Delta-Mendota Canal/ San Joaquin River/etc. SB & catfish loved Pile worms. They love a little baitfish i caught by the irrigation gates valves on the Delta/Mendota Canal. (i call them bullheads, i put a little piece of nightcrawler on a small hook, yank them in when they bite.) Sometimes i use blood worms/nightcrawlers/ cut anchovies. I use j.i.g.s. ****/lures in different color patterns. The fish might like one color today, another color tomorrow. They like yellow & white/ chartreuse/greens/red/orange/black/ etc. You need to try different colors/ color patterns. See what works.
Same technique on Colorado River & Lake Havasu.

In 1989, a man from Soquel caught a 66 lb + striper with a homemade j.i.g.*** on his boat at San Luis Forebay. A SB a little bigger was caught on the CO River.
I release all except some eating size. They taste better then the bigg'uns.

Good fishin'...

It's great that you had the RV.
Avi is right on the river. There is a nice beach & boat marina. There are some nice pools.

I missed out on the Dodge I wanted.

It was a good deal and I couldn't get over there soon enough. It's getting to be that if you're looking for a very specific car and a specific color you really got to jump.

The dealership is bugging me now asking if I want other cars. LOL, I figured I'd get on someone's radar. Once you make contact they bug pretty hard to sell ya something.

Yeah, I don't really regret what I did. I did pay more than I'd really planned to (but not more than I can handle.) But when I saw THE model, THE color, THE trim, THE options package, that I wanted... Yeah, I shot them an email and closed the deal that day.

What's cool is that they were willing to drive it down from Fort Collins and deliver it to me. But I guess that's not really that uncommon. So keep that in mind, you can expand your search radius outside of your immediate vicinity...

Not wrong there. Any more I go with a specific set of requirements. If they don’t have what I want I am out of there. I have run into that when I bought my Jeep. They, the Jeep dealer, wanted to sell me a Volkswagen SUV thing. I didn’t even bother to look at it. Same thing when I bought my pickup. I looked at a 2500 Dodge. Really had my heart set on a Ford with a crew cab. I held out and got a Ford with a crew cab. I never looked back.

Hate when that happens. I missed out on a used Honda Accord with everything I wanted in the same fashion a couple of years ago. I decided to keep working with the same dealer since they already had run my credit and gave me a payment/rate I could live with. Ended up with a Sonata with 85% of the same features which was $6k cheaper. It was never gonna be a forever car but it was reliable while I got my credit together and really good for going back and forth from DC to NC.

Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

I found a Challenger at CarMax, it's currently at their Vegas location, but I've got the ball rolling and their are going to transfer it to one of their lots here in So Cal.

2019, Burgundy, with 26k on the odometer. Not too bad. The price was 26k. I've been watching prices really climb the last few months, so I had to break down and get it done.

I know that people are tired of me yacking about it.

I bought my last car through CarMax. It was a pretty good experience so I figured I'd go with them again. Getting everything done as much as I can ahead of time and I'll pretty much drop off the old car and grab the new one.

Now... it's on to what set of 20s do I want???

Thanks.

It started out being sort of a 50th B day gift splurge because my car I have is newer and I don't need one. That was just about 2 yrs ago. I'm staring down the barrel of 52 in the next couple of months.

My 50th B day "gift splurge" only took 2 years.
