I am such a chicken. The first, and last time I was on a bike was when I was 18 and on Daytona Beach. We were going 25. I was screaming the whole time.

I'll admit, my anxiety issues cause me to regulate my bike riding, even though I've managed to put 24k miles on it in 3 years, when I see 10 year old bikes for sale, that don't even have 10k or 15k miles. A car accident 5.5 years ago freaks me out, because if I was on a bike that day, I would have been dead. That was before I had my motorcycle license. And while I'm not crazy overprotective of my fiancé, I don't like taking long trips with her on the bike. I also get paranoid that she or any passenger will wind up falling asleep if we're on the bike late at night, so when we take the 5 or 6 hour drive to my grandparents, I won't take the bike unless we're riding in the daytime or early evening hours. When we visit, we sometimes leave at 8:00 PM and that's a liability for me to have a passenger on my bike at late hours like that. I'll ride the bike long distance at crazy hours, just not with a passenger. Unless it's up the street or something.

Oh, I just love it. I would love to find a way to buy a bike of my own. Maybe when things settle down a bit.
