I found a guy that wanted my wild turkey. Good bye poopy bird. It did take us 40 minutes to catch him. If he would have stayed on the roof we wouldn't have been able to catch him, but he came down to admire his reflection in my storm doors. The guy has a couple wild turkey hens. My sister was concerned he was planning on raising turkeys to shoot. She's a vegetarian. I told her I didn't care as long as the bird was gone. It would fly on the top of my vehicle and poop.

Michigan still a nail biter for this election.
Waiting to see how macomb and kent county swings the state once all votes are counted. Who ever wins macomb and Kent county usually wins the state. Let’s see.

Andre decided that he wants me to teach him to fly. The first thing I did was loan him my copy of
“Stick and Rudder” to read and study. He’s only been in an airplane one time.... and that was with me. I am pretty jazzed that he wants to take up a hobby that we can both enjoy together!

I have a new obsession with Vans shoes. I’ve bought 4 pairs in the 45 days since I’ve moved to NC. I was a lifelong Air Force Ones guy and considered Jordans a splurge. Then I bought a pair of all Black Vans and my life changed. Lol

I like Vans, too. I used to buy them for my sons a lot, and once I got a pair for one of the boys and they outgrew them when they were still basically new (kids do that)...so as it happened, the fit me. And I have been wearing them ever since. But they are apparently "limited edition"...all black leather, very nice...and they simply cannot be found. And I've worn them to bits, they are falling apart bad, it's been probably at least 6-8 years now. I want new ones, but I struggle to find a pair I really like with a sane price tag.

I nearly wish I'd never worn them at all, because I had no idea that a limited edition shoe could become a thing of value but I bet I could get a hell of a price for 'em today if they were in decent shape. Oh, well.

I get excited about Danner boots. Duty boots. Hiking boots. Slip on shoes. I don’t mind spending decent money for good footwear.
