I put my happy and cheerful daughter on the school bus this morning. The last month has been hard as she's been anxious and obsessing about my (hopefully not imminent) death. But she said last night that although she missed me at school that day, she wasn't worried about me dying and this morning she barely had time for a quick goodbye as she hopped on the bus with some friends.
It seems we're having the most indescribably beautiful summer this year...so, that makes me happy, and the deer that comes into the field across the street...and no one honked at me and waved just one finger at me this morning on my way to work....sheesh, people are really touchy if I don't stay on my side of the road?
Aren't you sweet??? I am making these sweet little clothes for my daughters American Girl doll she will be getting for her birthday in October because my daughter saw these patterns and said "If I ever get an American Girl doll (hmmmm, hint??) I want clothes that look just like these." So, I have to do it!
And I do love to cook. I wish all of my CD buddies were in the area...you would all be chubby from the cookies and bread My neighbors, friends and family are sick of the sweets
What are you doing today???
Ohhh boy, I wish we could see them, I used to love to sew. I have to get a sewing machine.
Gotta post this for yesterday because I was not able to get on here to do so but... yesterday I went with my son back to where we lived before I got married and picked up his High School Diploma. Some stuff happened at the end of last year & beginning of this that seemed he would not be getting it. Thank God though for people who stick by your side though and push you to accomplish what they know you can accomplish, because of people like this, that don't give up on a kid, my son graduated and is now attending College.
This made me very happy because while he didn't walk in the graduation ceremony, I got to see the Principle and Vice-Principle hand him his diploma and congratulate him calling him a success story for the school. I also got to take pictures of him with them and all the security guards and a resource officer who were instrumental to helping him get through some of the difficulties he had. It was touching to see eyes watering, even in grown men who are retired NYC police officers as they hugged him and told him how proud of him they were.
It was a great day.
As for today... hmmmm I smiled a lot as I went to walgreens with my little 4 year old and let her pick something out and she picked something to share with her sister. This made me happy.
