Cutting our hair after marriage is just one the great conspiracies among the sisterhood. It is done for no particular reason other than we know men like long hair. Shhhhhhh!

I look super-sexy with short hair (a very short, sleek bob is my usual "short" haircut); it does something for my features, makes me look like I'm all eyes and lips. It looks cute with my small size.
With longer hair, I look plainer and more ordinary. Also older, I think.
When my hair's longer, I always wear it pulled back in a ponytail or some kind of bun, anyway. I can't stand it in my face.

There are many women who- because of their size, head shape, and features- look hotter with short hair than long.
There are other women who look better with longer hair.
It all depends.
Mostly, it's about what you feel comfortable with; confidence is the sexiest thing of all.
While I do agree with you that confidence is sexy I do not agree that short hair is hot. I believe even a plain, average or even an ugly face will look beautiful with long hair. Hair is beautiful. Hair is a sexual organ. If you want to deny that then think about what part of your body do you spend the most time on. Some people spend half an hour combing their hair to what they consider perfection.

Long and natural is a thing of beauty. Most women agree with this but once they hook a man they cut it all off the next day. How sad.

Glamor Magazine did a poll about 3 months ago. A whopping 78% of men polled preferred long hair over short. So if a woman was on the hunt for a man perhaps she can improve her odds by staying away from the barber shop.

By the way. I'm a guy and have longer hair then 80% of the women. I love it and women love it too. And for the record my wife has her red hair below her belt. She has complete freedom to do anything in life she wants but I will not allow her to cut her hair. Her hair turns heads everywhere we go. Strangers will come up and touch it without permission. Kinda fun stuff !

I don't think you should allow your age to dictate cutting your hair short. Don't know how old you are, but I've seen women in their 60's and 60's who still look good with long hair providing it is styled and colored properly.

I remember my mother saying something to the effect of older women should cut their hair. I always found that odd. I do notice that the older women get the shorter the hair. As with everything else our hair ages and becomes less sexy, often thin and dry so it looks thicker and better shorter. I have also heard many women state their long hair gives them bad headaches.
I remember and elderly lady who kept her white hair up in a bun. Occasionaly I would see her on the porch brushing her long long white hair, I remember it being soo pretty. I dont think it has to be colored to look good.

True 2mares, my mom has long hair which is now all gray, but she wears it well and she doesn't look like a witch either.

I don't have a preference, and I've never noticed one from others.

This is like saying, "Men say they want a woman who wears cute earrings."

Most men don't care.

But I have noticed most of the women I see who are married have short hair.

So what gives? Do men prefer to marry women with short hair?

So, should those of us with longer hair cut it? Does that increase our odds of even finding a boyfriend?
I've noticed that girls will have long hair, get married, and then get it cut shorter. I don't know why this is. Less maintenance?
