If you read the Sermon on the Mount. It is pretty obvious that Jesus is not pushing eye plucking.

5:29 And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell.

Now can you point out where Jesus followed the above with 'Don't panic about the eyes and hands folks. I was only kidding.'

Like I said, Christians pay lip service to Jesus and twist His words when it serves them to do so, the majority NEVER DO WHAT HE SAYS...it's been proven time and time again.

Some of us have taken the time to study the actual origins of religious belief...and know that these are not Gods words. A great deal of the stories that written in the OT were taken from other sources who were around long before the Jews were. It's not rocket science but it does require an open mind to discern the facts from the fables.
I think Christianity is a religion, but certainly not the only one and may not even be the right one. Every man has to make his own choice. The spirit of a man and a relationship with God, the Creator cannot be relegated to religion. If you are a believer, the Bible says "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God." And "those that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth..." Where does a systems of human religious traditions with in christianity fit in with that. The true Church of God will not be found in brick and mortar, but in the hearts of free men. IMHO

I absolutely agree with you!!! Ones spiritual realization and relationship with their Source is personal and individual and can only be found within, not in a book, a church or a religion. No two people on the face of this earth will ever have the same spiritual walk or relationship with their Source...this is something that religianity, churchianity and biblianity just don't seem to comprehend.
If more people spent time looking within for their answers instead of to others in the world who are just as lost as they are...they wouldn't be so led astray from the truth which can only be realized and revealed from within.

Do you know anyone who's lived a perfect life, other than Jesus?
And yet Sir Issac Newton knew 250 years ago that the state of Israel would exist before the year 2060. He based his understanding on the prophecies of the Bible. Many Jewish people have already returned to Israel. And in the not to distant future most Jews will be found living there. They are fulfilling the prophecies of Ezekiel 36,37,38, and 39. Most Jews here in America will leave when America is threatened with annihilation. There will be two years of warning. And most Jews along with many other people will be leaving at that time.
You might call them Jews, but based on how they act, I don't think they've even heard of the 10 commandments! (thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill...)
According to their religion, the concept of a "state" isn't even supposed to exist. And that fact that Israel only survives because of bloodshed, is proof.
If Jesus tells us to pluck out our eye, are you suggesting we should not?
He was not telling us to pluck our eyes out. Did you read my post?
