As usual...the typical suspects are here in full force. All leaned forward, arms back with palms facing up, with a look on their face like something smells bad, yelling, "IT'S THE LAW--IT'S THE LAW"!!!!!!!
As if, "the law" in any particular jurisdiction is any kind of decent arbiter of what is "right" and/or "just".

I think some of you people would have stood over Rosa Parks and yelled, "Get outta that seat! THE LAW says that you can't sit there. I hope you get thrown in jail!!".
Or told Dred Scott that he should just, "follow the law!!". And I guess the women in some Middle Eastern countries should accept their husband beating them half to death because they perceived that they were "disrespected" by her...since "the law" in those jurisdictions say it's perfectly legal for a man to do that.

"THE LAW"...one of the worst arbiters EVER! Only the truly ignorant would ever use it as something to support an argument as to what is "right" or "just".

If the woman feels her personal convictions are such that she is no longer able to carry out the REQUIRED DUTIES of her position...then she should step aside and let someone else handle it that doesn't have those beliefs. Does she think those tasks should just go undone? What a stubborn, nitwit!
Just get a different job doin sumthin else lady! Not civil service. What a waste of taxpayers money you are causing!
FIRE her already! Put someone else in there that can handle doing the work.

Very few people take this homosexual marriage thing seriously. You can keep saying that they do, but they don't. I have sympathy for the mental ill but the agenda is going too far. The mentally ill should not be taking away one's right to religious freedom. They used the same tactics to get homosexuality removed as a mental illness: http://www.behaviorismandmentalhealt...hat-went-away/

I do think they need to distinguish between marriage and homosexual/gay marriage since it is two entirely different things. Notice when it is spoken of that there is always an adjective or two before the word "marriage", same-sex, gay.................Not "marriage".
In other words, people should consider homosexual marriage a more sinful thing to do than getting a divorce? Right?

Your rights end where they step on my rights.

She's stepping on the SSM couple's rights.

That's a bogus argument cupper. All laws limit "rights" of someone, somewhere. That is the very essence of laws, regulations, and ordinances...so you can't go by that.
If the ruling had gone in favor of supporting her "rights" to the free exercise of her religion under the 1st Amendment, instead of the conflicting 14th Amendment "rights" of the same sex couples, you'd be singin a very different tune...and you know it.

The issue is her responsibility to do what she is tasked to do in her job. If it doesn't suit her to be told what tasks she must do...then become a entrepreneur...and since she will then set the tasks she must do, she won't be given the boot for dereliction of duties. Though she would probably fail in business...but that's beside the point.

But you want your rights to stomp all over our rights. Which was here in place long before the government decided to label a moral lifestyle choice to be something that needed civil right protection.

Had the Roman empire not existed and their influence (and the Crusades) not been as great as it was, Christianity may have ended up a minor religion.

Christians have been hated since the death of Christ and many attempts were made to burn Bibles and wipe them out. Fails every time because God's word is true and eternal.

Which certainly doesn't explain why there are Christians in the Middle East, often risking their lives for their faith in Christ.

Our faith is not a blind faith. There are numerous strong evidences that my God is real and true.

There is nothing in the Constitution that entitles you to freedom from religion. But atheists have distorted things so much that they think they have the right to demand that Christians hide their faith from any public view.

I am done with the racism comparisons. I will ignore any more attempts to drag that into the discussion.

The prohibition that the Government can NOT establish ANY religion effectively means freedom from religion in Government. Not seeing that is itself a kind of blindness. No one demands that Christians hide the faith from public view. But the government and they are prohibited from imposing their faith on anyone else in any way shape or form. Businesses are particularly prohibited from discriminating against anyone because of their Faith. Not seeing that is another kind of blindness. So, Yes . . . yours is a blind faith, Jeff.

...those sinful gays who selfishly used the Constitution (which, as everyone knows, is owned by the Christian right) to gain rights as Americans.

The nerve of them! If they had just stayed in the closet America would be so much better. But, oh no....they had to go and be uppity and demand to be served at the marriage license counter!! Socialists!!
