Ever heard of "civil disobedience"? If you studied history in school, you'll know what I am talking about. In this case, it is necessary and the more that participate the better. There needs to be a decision made about religious freedom and one little judge isn't going to cut it.
If you studied history in school, you'd know that people who practice civil disobedience often go to jail for their decision. As Ms. Davis has. When are christians going to figure out that being christian doesn't exempt them from the rules that everyone else has to follow, or entitle them to always have everything both ways?
I don't think there's a way to punish her or not punish her without turning her into a martyr. It appears though that the first gay couple walked out of her office with a marriage license this morning. So there's that.
Let's see how she feels in a few months when the notoriety has died down and the reality of her situation sinks in.
If reality CAN sink into her brain....
yep. One night in the clink is no gauge for how she'd handle a longer confinement. Though she'd probably be sent to a Club Fed which isn't exactly Super Max.
Really? Silly fundies, RELIGIOUS FREEDOM is a two-way street...
