The purpose of Christianity maybe "summed up " not "dumped up" as my spell check preferred ...wow! I need to proof read it's as though spell check is the spirit of antichrist lol! Anyway a direct relationship with Jesus while diluting religion to a degree and it's man-made distractions is key . All joking aside, one of the reasons I do like the Judaism forum, as a lurker, is because I enjoy the discussions that come from all sides. It is definitely a feature of Jewish tradition and culture. I learn a lot.

Just curious what everyone thinks Jesus wants us to do and be. This is NOT a question of how you think the visible church is acting today, but I want to know what you believe Jesus commanded the church to be and do.
Are we to just love everyone?
Are we to preach hate?
ARe we to preach something else?
The same as all religions--
To act as a crutch for the people to accept their lot in life and not rebel and to control the masses & to tell them how, when and what to think.
