Isn't it slightly arrogant to believe YOU have all the answers and you can edumucate us ignorant rubes?
I am an expert at somethings, know others well, and am woefully ignorant about many.
However, in all cases I want to know what the truth is, and not format my "knowledge" on what my belief is, or what all me friends and neighbors think.

Are you not interested in the truth?
Of course you have presuppositions. Everything you think you "know" is because of presuppositions. You are biased against religion. You're naive if you think otherwise.
BF keeps bringing his biblical pea shooter to a knife fight and wonders why he's always bleeding.
See above...

Normstad, so long as you all realize Trout has this thing dialed in... More a platform for a Knife Fight than a Gabfest. I see the Buddhists are largely staying out of this...

I have found no religion has a verifiable "truth". They all have myths, stories, teachings and beliefs. But no truths.
I've suggested you and I get into what is said in the bible... you walked away from that one. I've studied it, in two languages, studied comparative religions, history, and the overlap of the two.
Any time you want to discuss verifiable truths, have at 'er. But I know you won't, because you already told us no.

Yes, most Buddhists practice a philosophy, not a religion. Although some have some myth of the Buddha rising off some mountain in Sri Lanka. Kind of reminds you of Allah and his flying horse, and Jesus doesn't it? Except, the story of the Buddha came first.

Why would I? You literally just stated what your view is, and I don't believe for a second that spending hours debating that will be beneficial to anyone in any way.

Translation:
I would rather revel in my beliefs, than find out that maybe, just maybe, they are not true.

In other words, are you afraid of the truth?
Whatever floats your boat, man.
