If you can assume that there is no way to win then how can you imagine that there is actually a way out?
Perhaps the same way that you can assume that one can (say) "strive their best" against, or even for, their very destiny.
By mistake. Human, thus human error.
Humor me as to the update: You can strive your worst, and you still would land right in the clutches of and not "escape" or "correct" destiny, if it was an actual destiny.
Christianity isn't a religion. There are religions within Christianity though- Baptist, Nazarene, etc. for example
A Chiristian is defined as a Christ Follower. It's not a religion in and of itself.
There are many religions that do not follow Christ, some don't even believe in his diety of being GOD and Christ and/or those Apostles who he chose to relay his message.
I think Christianity falls under the definition of religion.
religion
/rɪˈlɪdʒ(ə)n/
noun
the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.
"ideas about the relationship between science and religion"
synonyms: faith, belief, divinity, worship, creed, teaching, doctrine, theology; More
a particular system of faith and worship.
plural noun: religions
"the world's great religions"
a pursuit or interest followed with great devotion.
"consumerism is the new religion"
Religion is related to the question of worship. The object reported to be worshipped is a god of great devotion. The god of great devotion can be a supernatural entity or the self.
"Why, the Greater Apostolic Crusaders for Truth Church of Salinas, Kansas, all 35 of us. We split off from the Apostolic Crusaders for Truth Church of North Salinas, Kansas." They're going to hell along with the other 7,000,000,000 people on the planet except for us.
A Christian told me today that Christianity is the only TRUE religion and that all other religions are "False" religions. So is Christianity the only TRUE religion?

To take it a step further, unless one is a CHRIST follower, one is not a CHRISTian, regardless of the church one attends or one's religious practices and rituals. True believers in Christ are born-again in God's Holy Spirit to eternal Spiritual life (John 3, etc). They are Christ's true church on earth (and the "bride of Christ" - Revelation 19).
While there are many Bible-based, Christ-centered denominations ("religions"), not all members of a denomination, church attendees or those who practice its religious tenants - are Christians. Without Christ, one's religion is in vain and one has neither the Father/God or the Son/Jesus Christ.
Thus, no "religion" established by man is the 'right one' - Only individual believers in Christ - which will ultimately come out of many nations and denominations. These are the ones "who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb/Jesus Christ and who worship God in Spirit and truth."
Can you imagine Almighty God ultimately accepting people on the basis of church attendance?' (... as if waiting for people to tell Him which is the 'right church'?).
That's not going to happen!
God's angels will ultimately separate the wicked from the righteous (Matt. 13:49). There will be no confusion then about the "True Church of Christ." The parable of the wheat and tares (Matt. 13:24-30) and the teaching about the Word of God dividing people (Hebrews 4) and the judgment of all people by the very words spoken by Christ (John 12:48), etc., all speak to this ultimate reality.
