My take is I don't like communism, and I'm glad people are free to worship or not as they and the law of the land sees fit.
Yep - I simply asked his/her opinion or perspective, whatever it is. (But she felt it was too personal to answer).
I gave an honest reply. I don't know what else you want. I don't personally care what you believe, and I'm not on any crusade to sway anyone one way or another.

i get the base premise, "what does it matter." when evaluating claims it doesn't matter.
