Of course there is. But those that are in Christ need not worry about it. And those in Christ are not lost.

That's not exactly what you said: "Jesus is so merciful he forgives all sin. He's that good. It's because our God is so just and holy that nothing can earn us favor in his eyes except Jesus' sacrifice."

Default What's the punishment for those who've commited suicide in christinity?

It's the same "punishment" for someone who commits suicide in any other religion or not in a religion at all. They're physically dead. Which, if you're in enough pain to have killed yourself in the first place, ain't no punishment at all. (Except, of course, for the people you leave behind.)

Yes. He forgives all sin of those in him. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough for your satisfaction.

Any religion whose chosen god-thing plays favourites automatically negates it from serious consideration.

No capital G-worthy god would play that childish, oh-so-human game.

I guess he's not so merciful after all.

Sure he is. One need only trust in Jesus to be forgiven of all sin. That includes you and everyone else on this thread.

It's sorta like the rival clubs we had in my neighborhood when I was 8.

Your silly remarks aside, it really is as simple as Jesus will forgive the sins of any and all who come to him.

It's not silly.

There were 2 rival clubs in my neighborhood when I was about 8. Each club had its own special benefits that you would reap if you were a member. Sound sorta like rival churches.

That's a lot different than the public school where I was principal. We took everybody. Rich, poor. Physically handicapped, emotionally handicapped. Didn't speak English...we taught you. White, black, Latino, Asian...whatever. And ANY religion. We did our best for every kid. Admittedly, there were some physical and emotional handicaps that were so extreme the student would have to go to a special center, but we even had kids who had to be catheterized.
