In Islam, he keeps having the same suicide continiously in hell.

If he jumps from height, he always keeps jumping from height and have the same pain endlessly without dying. This keeps repeating as a punishment in Islam. If he drank toxic and died, he keeps drinking toxic and having the same pain endlessly. If he shoots himself with gun, he keeps shooting himself endlessly in hell as a punishment. Endlessly. From start to end and again from start to end and again from start to end. Endlessly. This is the punishment Islam says. Having the same suicide pain but this time, it is ENDLESSLY since you don't die any more. You keep having the same action ENDLESSLY and suffer its pain ENDLESSLY.

Hoe about chrisitinity? Does christinity say the same or different for those who commit suicide?

I am no expert, I think the idea of eternal hell is starting to lose it its grip. Its more of an "sliding scale" based on the amount of free will one believes in.

For example: people are starting to realize that if you are born with a bum leg you won't be going to hell for ever because you can't run fast enough.

well, at least I hope so.

Jesus is so merciful he forgives all sin. He's that good. It's because our God is so just and holy that nothing can earn us favor in his eyes except Jesus' sacrifice.

I had a friend who shot himself in the head about 25 years ago. His wife had taken his kids and moved to another state and he didn't have the money for a lawyer because he'd lost his job. He had a chronic illness. He just gave up.

That Sunday, his parents went to church, where one of their Christian brothers said to them, "I'm sorry to hear about your son, but you know he went to straight to hell for what he did."

It's my opinion that this man should go straight to hell for what he said, but fortunately for him, I do not have the authority to make that call.

So, no, I don't believe that Christianity--which is how it is actually spelled--overall believes what that man said. I think some rotten people who hide behind the church would like to think that, because a disturbing percentage of Christians seem to take a special delight in the idea of other people in hell. Hopefully, the percentage who do not feel that way is much higher.

However, if we go back to the root of Christianity--the teachings of Christ--then nah, a person's suicide should only bring forth love and sympathy and sorrow, not condemnation.

We can spend a lot of time speculating what goes on on the other side - in fear and worry - or live our lives as best as possible, in love and helping each other. That's the basic message of Jesus.

Obviously Im never going to say negative things about anyone who has taken their own life, or imply to their families and friends that they may be suffering for their choice,( that is just being a horrible person).

Its common to hear people say those that commit suicide are 'cowards' or its a cowardly thing to do...but in reality, its actually NOT at all...I know for a fact, back in the days of my drug addiction, the thought of taking my own life was something I struggled with towards the end, I could not bring myself to do it and jump headfirst into death, something NONE of us knows the details of!!!

In my opinion, it takes alot of BALLS/bravery to resort to doing this!

How many of us on here would be willing to jump headfirst into another 'realm', that we knew NOTHING about?
