In Charles Hapgood's book, Map of the Ancient Sea kings, there is proof that Anarctica was mapped [after the flood, in my opinion] by satellite mapping. There are other proofs of that in other places.
Now don't go Palinizing Hapgood because of his own opinions and words on things: firstly, he is not a born again believer in Jesus Christ and is no Bible believer, and is an evolutionist, but his book, "Map of the Ancient Sea King's" has evidence of the mapping of Anarctica in a manner that could only have been done by sattellite.
The fact of the history of the earth is that Adam/mankind was technogically advanced before and after the flood, achieving things which we were not able to reproduce, again, until the last century -at least in our western culture; and the ancients achieved many things which we have not yet come to achieve, yet, again.

Ecc 1:9-11 The thing that hath been, it [is that] which shall be; and that which is done [is] that which shall be done: and [there is] no new [thing] under the sun.
Is there [any] thing whereof it may be said, See, this [is] new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
[There is] no remembrance of former [things]; neither shall there be [any] remembrance of [things] that are to come with [those] that shall come after.
God is not impressed, and called the secrets of heaven which the fallen angels taught the sons of Adam, "worthless knowledge", as reported in the Book of Enoch.
The world has had atomic wars, and the proof is easy to find, and the splitting of the atom was being discussed by ancient indian scientists four centuries before Christ was born; yet the Indian continent was set back to a dark age of ignorance after their wars -and they did not even understand the ancient writings of theirs which did survive, when many other cultures' libraries were destroyed by invading armies which do tell of the things of old [but portions of their writings do show they had the technology, we just were dumbed down too much to understand what they wrote of]; and so the doings of the fallen angels and men became 'myths', which spread to and were adopted by Greece, and embellished upon, after Alexander's invasion; but the artifacts of the things of old which are now known of and which do prove that the ancients had vehicles and fuels for flying about the world -and into space- are there. We had no invasions from aliens, but fallen angels did teach many things to the sons of Adam, about these things, and Enoch reports on it.
Obviously you have absolutely no clue on ancient mapping techniques, or anything much else. Accurate mapping of coastlines has been done for millenia.

The "splitting of the atom" was not discussed by anyone. The idea that everything could be made up of very small pieces is indeed thousands of years old. However, it was a philisophical excersise. The Atom itself wasn't discovered until the advent of the electron microscope.

And rockets and satellites in the ancient world? Your ideas just keep getting weirder. So, where's the evidence? China, you might say? Blackpowder rockets lack the power to be able to reach orbital velocity, sorry. By te time one loads a tube with enough blackpowder, the apparatus is simply too heavy to take off.

And please, "lost information" that you are somehow privy to jsut coldn;'t get even one degree lamer.

Feel free to link to any online source that says "globe".
I bought this book; Tebel is translated "globe" in it. Read it on Kindle, page 347, line 37 -there are also other places where tebel is translated globe.

Oh my, everything you have been saying is written in a book! It must be true then.....Not.
The bible would have to be true and accurate first, and it's not even close.

Why don't you investigate for yourself, for once, instead of just throwing out false information which you are making up, because you have never learned true earth history? On the mapping of Anarctica by satellite, there is evidence which proves that fact.

[LEFT] A HISTORIAN COMMENTS
Historian Kisari Mohan Ganguli says that "Indian sacred writings" are full of such descriptions, which sound like an atomic blast as experienced in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He says references mention fighting sky chariots and final weapons.
An ancient battle is described in the Drona Parva, a section of the Mahabharata.
"The passage tells of combat where explosions of final weapons decimate entire armies, causing crowds of warriors with steeds and elephants and weapons to be carried away as if they were dry leaves of trees," says Ganguli.
"Instead of mushroom clouds, the writer describes a perpendicular explosion with its billowing smoke clouds as consecutive openings of giant parasols. There are comments about the contamination of food and people's hair falling out."
ARCHEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION PROVIDES INFORMATION
Archeologist Francis Taylor says that etchings in some nearby temples he has managed to translate suggest that they prayed to be spared from the great light that was coming to lay ruin to the city.
"It's so mid-boggling to imagine that some civilization had nuclear technology before we did. The radioactive ash adds credibility to the ancient Indian records that describe atomic warfare."
Construction has halted while the five member team conducts the investigation. The foreman of the project is Lee Hundley, who pioneered the investigation after the high level of radiation was discovered.

Gurkha,
flying a swift and powerful vimana
hurled a single projectile
Charged with all the power of the Universe.
An incandescent column of smoke and flame
As bright as the thousand suns
Rose in all its splendour...
a perpendicular explosion
with its billowing smoke clouds...
...the cloud of smoke
rising after its first explosion
formed into expanding round circles
like the opening of giant parasols...
..it was an unknown weapon,
An iron thunderbolt,
A gigantic messenger of death,
Which reduced to ashes
The entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas.
...The corpses were so burned
As to be unrecognizable.
The hair and nails fell out;
Pottery broke without apparent cause,
And the birds turned white.
After a few hours
All foodstuffs were infected...
...to escape from this fire
The soldiers threw themselves in streams
To wash themselves and their equipment.

You know that there were four of them, right....?

And quoting the bible and wikipedia to me, two of the most unreliable sources on Earth doesn't really impress me....

My information on the Olmecs comes from one of the best Mesoamerican scholars of this century, who happens also to have been my father-in-law...

You really live in your own little world, don't you lady?

Please explain to me why, if you believe in a young earth, ice core evidence dating back more than 700,000 years can be dismissed.

Well, there was that one ancient Chinese inventor named Wan-Hu who attached a whole bunch of chemical rockets to a chair, in hopes of being able to take off and fly. He sat in his chair, lit the rockets and was never seen again. Maybe he made it to orbit?

...or maybe not.

You are ridiculous! -So how can your father-in-law change the date of the Olmec civilization, on this side of the globe, in Mexico, and somehow make it different -poof! -non-existent- at the time of Daniel in Babylon, in Nebuchadnezzar's court?
Sorry, your father-in-law has no power to change history, either of the Olmecs or of the time of Nebuchadnezzar of Daniel chapter 2.

Babylon - City of Nebuchadnezzar by Ferrell Jenkins in Biblical Insights.
[SIZE=2]The city reached its peak during the Neo-Babylonian empire (626-539 B.C.). The Bible refers to Babylon as "the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the Chaldeans' pride" (Isa 13:19).[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2] The greatest king of the Neo-Babylonian empire was Nebuchadnezzar (605-562 B.C.). There is abundant evidence of the activities of his reign. The best collections of artifacts are to be found in the British Museum in London and the Museum of the Near East (part of the Pergamon Museum) in Berlin. In Berlin one may see the reconstructed Procession Street, the Ishtar Gate, and the decorated facade of the Throne Room of Nebuchadnezzar from Babylon.[/SIZE]

http:// (broken link)www.santarosa.edu/~mbond/Olmec.pdf
And there is less information about the Olmecs than there is about Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar of Daniel's time; nevertheless, their times correlate, and Daniel received the interpretation of Nebuchad's dream from God, and said, by that Holy Spirit; .."wherever man, beast or fowl dwell you rule them...you are the king of kings".
Nebuchadnezzar ruled the Olmec king, and all kings on earth, in his day, says God's Word, and they were contemporaneous.

The point is that the peoples were divided and the land mass was divided after Babel's division of the one people, by tongues, as the history book, the Book of Jasher, states; and they went around the globe to settle all areas.
