On dying now:

Pro: Leave lots of money to heirs and they will sing my praises!
Con: I'd be dead and didn't have the chance to spend all that money!

All these years later I still watch my diet and I'm not overweight so I guess I decided if I was going to live, it was worth it to keep my weight in check but I really wish I could eat a ton of doughnuts without any consequences!

My divorce had been final a few months earlier, and I was just starting to think about dating, so my thought was, "On no, I am only 43 and I never got to have sex again!"

It's a bit disconcerting to remember how shallow my mind was when facing my possible death.

Anyway, I lived. And I got to have sex again. AND was cured of the fear of death after that, too.
Sex and doughnuts - nothing shallow about that ; ) Life's pleasures, both big and small, get us through the rough spots.

I would regret not seeing my married children and having purchased a home. Grandchildren would be desirable, but that part is really up to them.

I have had an amazing run.............done some really cool things along the way.

Regrets:

I should have went to law school. I got in to the best school in my state but I had just bought a house that needed a ton of remodeling, I didn't want more debt at that time. I've owned a business that has made millions of dollars over the years but it was never "my passion."

Would have liked to hit a homerun, sunk a hole in one and of course "won the lottery" too!

I have traveled a lot, but I would have liked to travel more. Never seen Alaska, South America or Australia. I've been invited by my Thai friend to visit Thailand but Covid restrictions wrecked that. I think Russia would be amazing in better political times.

Good news: Not dead yet but I think the home run and law school ships have sailed for me!

My regret would be that I would not be around any more for the people and animals that depend on me. But, as the saying goes, the cemeteries are full of indispensable people! So I shouldn't assume those people and animals won't be just fine without me.

If I dropped dead, how would I be able to regret anything?
