When I used to drive truck down South I would see dead dogs on the sides of the roads. That is not very common up North. I always presumed it was because down South they let more dogs run free? But I really do not know.

Thanks for the link. Sorry to hear about the woman killed by the dog pack. Sounds like it's time to do some severe thinning of the pack and prosecution of anyone known to own or feed this pack of dogs. If a person owns dogs and allows them to run loose, then they should be held responsible for damage that the dogs do, but unfortunately, the woman's life can't be brought back.

I cant believe this thread has gone on for so long. Look, if you have feral dogs on your land, and you dont want them, then do what you need to do, and keep your trap shut. S S S

A young boy in eastern Kentucky was mauled to death by a pack of dogs recently.

I'm a dog owner and always have been and will be. I love them. But I can't imagine knowing the strength and ferocity of my 100 pound GDS what a few of these could do. But I keep my dogs in a yard and walk on a leash. Dogs have no business out roaming around on someone else's property just because their owners don't want to take care of them.

Most of these cases are pits or pit mixes. Not a fan of that animal and never will be and don't need to be told how many times what good dogs they are.

If they are on your property they pose a threat to your safety. Put them down and don't speak a word about it.
