My intention was never to complain, but to gather opinions on the friendliness of San Antonio as a whole. I'm still trying to figure out the best fit for our family in this huge city. Every city has a different feel and also each little area within that city has a different feel.
Merovee, I do appreciate your posts, because you have opened my eyes a little more. I realize more than ever that like minded people will be attracted to like minded people. Superficial people will be drawn to other superficial people. So, I know it may take a little more time, but we will make friends with people that have the same core values, cares and beliefs as we do which are of so much greater value than the clothes on someones back.

HOWEVER: it also very often depends on how you act towards others, rarichie, of course.....

Or so that's what experience has taught moi, heh.....f'r example: say if you are the kind of chip-on-the-shoulder guy that insists on always meeting some random guy's gaze nonstop like a lasersight targetlock, and eventually the inevitable "What? Gotta problem? Wanna strap?!" Outspread Arms Gesture may ensue.....

.....and that can definitely happen ANYWHERE HERE THAT YOU GO AT ANYTIME, I have noticed.....

But if you honestly do not care for that sort of {what I personally consider to be a} Time Waster, and instead speak respectfully to others {not that I personally am a bubbly/loud/cheery/folksy type myself} and recommendedly: not be too physically-imposing {I personally prefer to stand about 4 feet away from people}, it seems to me you'll pretty much do just fine.....well, most of the time anyway.......
