Didn't someone say they were going to open a new Pappadeaux's next to Chuy's on I-10? If so, when's that gonna happen?

Yes, I announced Pappadeaux's earlier last year. It should start soon and site work/utility work is ongoing in that area now. It will sit just north of the other restaurants, a little closer to 1604. I'm not sure if it will open by year end or not, but it should be close to then.

Thanks for the update. Wasn't doubting, just ready for it to get built so I don't have to go over to the other one.

That's great news. I'd love for them to open a second Pappasito's in the North Central area. Best fajitas in town, though very pricey. 2 for 1 on Wednesday nights though!

Specht's Store was a little community as you say out there near Camp Bullis and Blanco Road. Never ate at the place as i really don't go out that way hardly at all.Whatever goes in there I wish them well.

The buildings there though were around a long time before the old store building became a restaurant. remember driving out there years ago in the 1950s and 60s with my folks as a kid.
There also used to be an old store out by the Fair Oaks Ranch area. They even in the late 80s ;1990s had an article about the building and how someone was trying to preserve it. A couple of elderly ladies;sisters I believe ran that place. We stopped by there when we were out on a drive years ago as a kid and momma and daddy bought us a few things for snacks.

Also out on Anamman Road around Bulverde is an old gas station and a couple of buildings. That was once Mustang Hill a small community. There was a road that ran up past the right of the gas station and headed north but all vistiages of the road are gone now.

I think the Furr's on I-35 and Zazamora went under. Drove by what I thought was it's location and the building is hulked.
