Odd.... their website said that they were closed effective Jan 1, 2014 to Jan 31, 2014 for remodeling. Sounds eerily like China Garden on SW Military.

A good steakhouse will make tons of money. Ounce was never good and deserved to close.

In a city of very good steak, there's no excuse for their lackluster product.

I liked Ounce because it was quiet. One of the only restaurants in town where you could hear dinner conversation.

I was in there a few months back and the owner was there that night and was very nice, he told me he was struggling with the business and was behind on the rent about a month. Once I got my food I can see why they had issues, order a steak medium well and got it back well done. The owner came back and geez went from talking to me to getting mad since the cook messed up the order, never went back and should have known there was only 6 people there on a Friday night.

I bet you it's going by where chuys is. Theyve cleared land where that Rubens enchiladas place was. Just my guess.

They're definitely prepping to put something next to Chuy's, thought I saw the 54th St sign next to Bob's.

They are talking about the other location - not at the Rim. 54th is across the street from Bob's at the Rim as I reported awhile back. Next to Chuy's (I assume you are talking about I-10), Pappadeaux is going to be built as well as some apartments. Lots of site work and infrastructure required for that development.
