Hello,

Trying to liven this SD forum a bit.

Question: If San Diego did not have nice/temperate weather/climate, would you still live in San Diego??

Remove knowing friends and family and your job in San Diego from your decision making process.

For what other reasons, if any, would you remain in San Diego if San Diego had weather/climate comparable to Denver Colorado???...everything else in San Diego remaining the same, ie: cost of living, etc..

I know my answer BTW, I really do love San Diego...and Denver too.

My guess is it wouldn’t be nearly as popular. Weather and proximity to the coast and mountains are the biggest draw for most.

I agree with both. I would not desire to live in SD if the weather/climate was similar to Denver...where I live. For me..the nice weather would allow me to do many outdoor things/events year round. without that nice weather..I would pass on SD.

Nope - that's pretty much the primary reason why I am here

SD was a kitchy little border town that not many people were aware of. It was cool because it was somewhat backwards and hodunk like all the trailer parks and cheap eats etc. The people were laid back and prices reflected the whole vibe.

Now you bring in all the nonsense and you ruin it. That is the bottom line.

At $1800 rent it is a steal. A nice place to be. Now at $2,400 /2,600 not that much. You can live anywhere in America for that money.

A solid no. It didn't used to be this way. It was much cheaper and we didn't have Northern California politics. Illegal immigration has gotten way out of control in the last 30 years here.

I work from home so the weather is the ONLY thing keeping me here.

I'd never leave if our mountains had enough snow for skiing and mountaineering!

If it did not have the temperate weather, and my friends and family were not here, I would probably not stay.
