The vaccinated are just as contagious as the unvaccinated and maybe more if the vaccines compromised their immune systems.

Djokovic is very careful health wise with his diet and exercise. He's had covid and has natural immunity. The fact he is giving up the U.S. Open, possibly improving his winning record, and winning a multi-million dollar prize is enough to tell me he thinks the vaccine is dangerous and he probably gets advised from top medical experts not to get the jab.

The illegals coming in from the southern border or not required to be vaccinated, so why should Djokovic or
anyone unvaccinated be denied entry?

I think Coric could win the Open, It's a toss-up for the women. I was reading Swiatek is complaining the balls at the Open are too light (the men have heavier balls) and she has trouble controlling them, so that might lower her chances to win. Radacanu hasn't been playing well lately except for one tournament
Angie Kerber is pregnant and not entering. We all know this Open is going to be all about Serena and her retirement

Oh well, Novak who is a non-resident, will have to wait to see if US law changes next year.

Being young and physically fit is only one part of the equation.
It’s like climbing Mount Everest and thinking you won’t get altitude sickness.
The virus is still dangerous and deadly.
Plus, in Novak’s case, getting vaccinated is a requirement if he wants to play.

Same here. Very few people in the U.S. take Covid seriously. When I go to the grocery store or to a restaurant, almost no one is wearing a mask. Students at universities are in close proximity without masks. It’s a joke..

That's because they are all vaccinated and boosted. Once you get your jabs, you can go back to normal life.

I just noticed that Serena’s 1st round U.S. Open match is being televised.

It hasn’t started yet (they’re loosening up on court).

2 games all first set.

Lots of celebrities there for a first round match (as might be expected potentially being Serena’s last match ever)………Hoda Kotb, Bill Clinton, Dr. Ruth, Martina Navratilova, etc.

Now 4-3 Serena, 1st set.

Rather than being service holds, both games 5 and 6 of the set were service breaks,

Then Serena held service at love in game 7.
