We had Brighthouse since 2003, no issues what so ever in Orlando, no down time, nothing, only after moving to Tampa we have experienced a downfall in the service, I have never had an issue with their customer service but internet has been slow at times and the phone went dead once too....now my only reason for not switching to FIOS is that after the introductory offer expires the price goes UP so high we won't be able to afford it. Their phone service without local long distance is like $60 plus all the million fees, we just can't beat the $130 we pay BH!!! for all 3, cable, phone and internet.
I am not much of a TV watcher so I could care less if that goes off (hubby would disagree) and once in a while when the internet is slower, well, not a big deal ....at least it's not dial-up...

I saw a commercial for NetZero the other day and I was laughing my "a" off as I can't imagine anyone using dial up anymore! and here we are complaining cable is slow! LOLOLOLOL

I've had a ton of problems with Internet. After several calls and several hours of waiting in line for customer care execs, they sent their tech folks over a couple of times. The tech guys told me that my router wasn't working properly, which wasn't true. I then called the router company which had even worse customer care. Nothing has happened - I've given up. I'm gona switch to Verizon at the first available opportunity!

Directv for the "cable" end of it here... perfect picture and the remote is awesome as well as the display. Plus, The Sunday Ticket, which allows you to watch Every NFL game. Only way to go around here.

Have fios for the net, very fast...

After 4 years of trouble with Verizon I switched to Bright house and I never had real issues...and if we had any, Bright House solved them fast. With Verizon the bill was never the same and I spend hours on the phone to get a credit and most annoying was how many times they would transfer you and you had to give your info over and over.
For me NEVER EVER Verizon! If you have so much trouble, ask for a credit and a solution from Bright House and if your troubles are what you are stating, they will give it and try to solve it a.s.a.p.

Btw. I'm in no way affiliated to any carrier!

We have Bright House here in Manatee, we also had it in Pasco County and Lakeland (Polk county.) No problems ever in Pasco or Manatee, but plenty in Lakeland for some reason. I would never go to Verizon because of cost and the many nightmares of problems and customer service I have heard about from people. I am very happy with Bright House here in Manatee.

That's the reason we switched. The Verizon internet and tv service were both better but it just wasn't worth the headache every month.

Default Cable alternatives to the MONOPOLY Brighthouse

We're in Orlando and don't seem to have many choices other than the MONOPOLY CABLE COMPANY BRIGHTHOUSE.
Should anyone know of any options, like FOIS, we will be very happy to look into them.

I have had major problems lately with BH. The sound is skipping in and out, the picture is very pixated and for the last few days it's been hit or miss on the DVR actually doing anything. No rewind or pause or anything for that matter. A rep came out, pushed a few buttons, and switched the remote. He told us to see how that works. Of course it worked while he was there, and now it's back to ***** again. I really miss my Fios. My apts. dont offer it or I would have FIos for sure. The speed, clarity and color can't be beat.

We do have Fios at work. I agree, customer service could use some help. I've heard they're "working on it." lol.

Have had Verizon, no problems, have had Brighthouse with no problems. Stay far, far away from Knology. I had them for less than a week and the service was so incredibly bad I made them switch me back with no charge.

We started having trouble with our Brighthouse service when we moved to south Tampa after years of good service in other parts of town. After several months of repeated but ineffective service calls I finally reached the end of my rope and called the sales rep assigned to this complex and basically begged for his help. He escalated my case and had a good tech out the same day. Apparently the problem was not in our unit but was effecting the entire complex and part of the surrounding neighborhood. It took two days to fix, but the problem was finally resolved and our internet and phone are reliable again. I do find it quite irritating that I put in service requests about this problem for months and wound up having to circumvent the normal customer service pathway in order to resolve the issue. I have always been happy with Brighthouse customer service, this has been my first major problem ever and we have been customers for a very long time. In contrast, every single dealing with Verizon I have had has been a complete nightmare. I refuse to ever give that company my business again.
