I can say this Nac is winning in the poll and I don't see how Tyler made it jealous way in this conversation lol ha ha made you look!
Whatever you want to think, dee. It doesn't matter - the sales tax collected in Tyler is proof of the booming retail sector here.

The Lufkin mall. The Tyler Mall has many, many expensive specialty shops. NO TJ Max is down South Broadway with all the new Shops of Cumberland Road shopping area, no mall but far more stores/shops restaurants than the Lufkin mall can even think about or for that matter the combined shopping in Nac and Lufkin doesn't equal Tyler. Sales Taxes prove that point.

Lufkin year to date 3,720,000

Nacagdoches 1,452,000

Tyler 10,458.000

Even more than Waco which has 9,277,000

Slightly more than Beaumont 9,956,000

Wichita Falls 7,703,000

Abilene Slightly more 10,723,000

San Angelo 7,488,000

Denton with 128,000 pop 7,327,000

McKinney 156,000 population 10,853,000

So Dee this should close this discussion and get you on to something else.

Do you see Tyler has more than twice, 100% more sales taxes, which means sales, if I need to explain that of both Nac and Lufkin COMBINED for "pete's" sake, lol

my facts, which means my source for the fact, not just opinions, thrown out there like you do, and we keep correcting you

Monthly Sales Tax Allocation Comparison Summary Reports
Oh yeah mark did you let them know that Tyler growth was -4.90% sale numbers and Nac was +10.0% from 2015 to 2016.
Thank you for the great job Mark!

Must have been those extra 8 Family Dollar stores built that boosted NAC's sales receipts.

Tyler is growing in leaps and bounds. If Nac is too, that's great.

Oh look here - Longview and Tyler are in the top 60 fastest growing small cities in the US.

Pretty sure the TJ Maxx store was included in that square footage.. The website has information from year end 2014, meaning it was updated in 2015, possibly even more recently, and TJ Maxx opened in 2013. When did they make an addition to the movie theater?

Either way, Tyler has almost 2.9 million square feet in its retail centers.

Quote:
The 2015 Tyler Retail Market Survey shows that the Retail sector was the shining star of the commercial real estate market over the past twelve months.
The Survey includes data on sixty six properties, five of which are new centers which opened in the past twelve months. The total square footage of the centers surveyed is 2,860,747, which is an increase of 6.3%.

Only you could spin his facts off as a negative towards Tyler.. Even if Tyler's retail tax revenue "growth" dropped while Nac's retail tax revenue "growth" increased, Nacogdoches still only had 1.6 million dollars in retail tax revenue. Tyler had 9.9 million.

Hmm.. the interstate system has been around for centuries? Pretty sure Eisenhower established the interstate system in the 1950s.. and considering i20 wasn't built until the 1960s, I'm not sure how your logic works. Either way, you've claimed multiple times Tyler is "not on the interstate", so why the change of tune now? One could argue that Nacogdoches has been on highway US59 since the 1930s, which is the exact same highway that will have its signs changed to i69, so if anything Nacogdoches is the one who should "be in the top ten", given its long standing highway frontage.

Again, only you could somehow try to twist Kathryns facts as something negative against Tyler.

Thanks for the logical response, TexasTallest.

Personally I think dee's leaps from logic are pretty entertaining. They are certainly amazing.

MORE DOORWAYS - WHOA. Katy, bar the door.

Is that like "more trees," or "more apartments," or "more nightclubs?" If so, more power to ya.

Nacogdoches has a better and more advance mall then Tyler because Nac's mall has world class clean restrooms. You can't beat that!
