Ah, I see now, not only are you one of those swayed by big organizations such as the NFL with their strong-arm threat tactics, you are just influenced overall by the entertainment industry. We should be grateful you elected to only reference these two I suppose, although out of all of the entertainers you could have chosen to use as re-enforcement for your augments, I am surprised you picked John Lennon and Paul McCarthy,

On one hand you condemn law makers of trying to impose legislation on us due to religion and religion has no place in it. On the other hand to support your disapproval of the same legislation, you quote cherry picked scriptures. So ironic.

Now in a last ditch effort to give your failing arguments a boost, you offer us this remark of yours on these two as though they are . . . what? Upstanding examples of mankind we should pattern our lives and beliefs on? “Christianity will go,” Lennon said. “It will vanish and shrink. I needn’t argue about that. I’m right and I’ll be proved right. We’re more popular than Jesus now. I don’t know which will go first, rock ‘n’ roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It’s them twisting it that ruins it for me.” So, out of all the entertainers you could have chosen, you pick these two. Again, I just have to laugh at the irony.

You throw so many monkey wrenches in, it is amazing. It's hard to figure if you are really this complexed or just very confused. Either way, it's immaterial what Paul McCarthy's views (and yes, quite probable John Lennon's as well if he were still alive) are on this subject in relation to politics in Texas.

Nope, you have completely misread my statement and put words in my mouth. It appeared to me that Kathryn was using the words of Lennon/McCartney to somehow support her view (note, I was not the one who quoted them and thus "picked" them, she was), and I simply pointed out to her that they would not agree with her doing that.

As for swayed by big organizations, not hardly. Again, you are projecting, it would seem to me.

I did not address Kathryn's post, I addressed yours. I will not assume her reasoning for posting the song lyrics, she will be the one to ask. As to the interpretation of the song's lyrics, it might help to be as high as the boys no doubt were when they wrote them. I will say the lyrics sounded appropriate to me in addressing how insane crazy this entire kettle of fish is, but that's just my take on it.

Whatever the crazy lyrics gibberish meant, it sure brought out the need in you to inform us of Paul McCarthy's view (and more than likely Lennon's as well if he were alive) on transgenders if I read this part of your statement correctly. But hey, maybe when I use the term transgenders I am putting words in your mouth. Maybe you're talking about their views on something entirely different for all we know. Maybe you meant their views on a crazy flavor of ice cream, who knows? More importantly, who cares?

As to my projecting when saying you were swayed by big organizations, maybe, maybe not. I know you have said enough times that you are not a liberal. Maybe not, but I say when it walks like a duck . . .

I see you conveniently left out any explanation on your controversial use of religion.

You really think I was using that ridiculous song to somehow support my views? Surely you don't really think that, do you?

I quoted that song because it's simply as ridiculous as some of the arguments I've seen here.

Well, not that I'm in the habit of throwing gas on a fire, but.......

What if parents start practicing eugenics and abort their unborn children whose DNA analysis shows a predisposition to being gay or transgendered? Some already do that to avoid having Downs kids, or so I read somewhere.

Discuss.

lol Throwing gas on a fire? This is going to be more akin to feeding an inferno.

This is really going to be interesting.

How would a DNA analysis show a predisposition for sexual behavior? Is this entirely hypothetical? There is no science that says sexual behavior or attraction is 100% biologically determined. There is no gay gene.
