Ok. So as I read what was actually passed, (sort of - it's still in the works apparently). The bill was watered down from "all government buildings" to "schools". So the idea that was causing zealots to wail and rend their hair and clothing that grown dirty old men pretending to be women would come into the women's bathroom and molest a 6 year old girl is completely off the table. It has now spread the hate and fear ONLY to schools, where dirty old men who are lurking the halls pretending they want to be women so they can molest small girls are probably rare.

Because it was never about "safety," but about trying to maintain a last gasp of relevancy in a changing world.


Their actions are disgusting, and I say that as a descendant of Texians (yes, "Texians"), a faithful church member, and one who voted for McCain and Romney... in other words, their supposed "base".


History will look down on them (not just because of this bill) just as we look down on those that supported segregation.

I suppose the backlog of rape kits in the state aren't important. If sexual assaults were so important, then why do we have a backlog of untested rape kits? This is a slap in the face to actual rape victims. Their untested and unsolved cases just aren't important for a special session. This legislature is sickening. Rape victims seeking justice should march down in Austin and demand answers from that POS Dan Patrick.
