Buc Ee’s is serious about their national expansion. Ohio just joined the list. Wisconsin, Colorado Kentucky, etc etc

Would be cool to take a road trip anywhere and be able to stop at a Buc Ee’s. Rather that than loves/TA

Amen to this. A Buc-ees is often amazing. Everyone should follow their example AT LEAST when it comes to bathroom cleanliness!

I remember one time I stopped at a convenience store in the Dallas area, and the ONLY scrap of paper anywhere in the entire restroom was a used lottery ticket! Also, no soap. Blech.

I bought some shorts from Academy this past month and they are the flagship Magellan brand. Quite comfy shorts, I just realized today that they are marketed as Aransas Pass Hybrid Shorts and the other is Magellan Outdoors Men's Falcon Lake Shorts. Talk about catering to the specific Texas market... much like HEB and Bucees.

Academy doesn’t feel that Texan to me. A big box retailer selling mainstream brand apparel. Magellan as a brand does feel Texan though

They still got there start here, which will never change. And the word can get out of yet another Texas success.

Buc ees looks like it’s expanding to Arizona and New Jersey. It’s going coast to coast now. Good news for me, they’re going to Port St Louis right outside of West Palm Beach. Since I spend so much time in Miami, I’m going to enjoy this

Maybe not but the taste of the food has definitely declined since it was turned over to a Chicago investment group. That's always the problem when local places hit the "big-time".

Buc-ee's is an American chain of country stores, gas stations, and electric vehicle chargers created and owned by Arch "Beaver" Aplin III, headquartered in Lake Jackson, Texas. The chain was founded in 1982 in Clute, Texas and began expansion with its first travel center in Luling, Texas in 2003.
That's from Wikipedia but you may find this article interesting as well (it reiterates that Arch Aplin is a Texan).

Bring the Beaver East!

I love Buc-ees, and would absolutely enjoy one somewhere closer. I think that I-81 corridor would be a natural place for one. Maybe around Martinsburg, WV/Hagerstown, MD. That way they can get some I-70 travelers as well.
