Buc-Ees does not allow semi trucks. If one shows up that isn't making a delivery they are told to scram.

I've seen some trucks and trailers there that might as well be considered semis.

So it's not a truck stop. So what's the big deal? I see their signs when driving. I suppose if I were needing gas or a stop I'd pull in. Seems like much ado about nothing - ”passionate”? That sounds like a gross overstatement.

For most of us (hopefully) there's no "passion." But for a nontrivial segment of the population, there definitely is passion, pretty much Whataburger-level passion.

Well, I never understood "passion" for Whataburger either. If I want a hamburger and the next one's Whataburger, I'll pull in there. If the next one's Sonic, ditto. Bugger Fling and MacDoozie's, not so much.

You must be in that clean restroom a long time lol or are counting the time it takes for your car to fill up. Never spent more than 20-30 min at Bucees and that's with browsing while waiting for an order. I've also been out of there as quickly as 5 minutes during busy times and that's with buying drinks. They have cash registers everywhere and that's usually the longest time.

One thing I wish Bucees did do was add dog parks to their larger stations. Love's starting doing this and it's great for folks on roadtrips with their dogs. Bucees has more than enough land especially if they remove some of their mostly unused parking lot.

No kidding. Buccees is way easy to get in and out of fast. You must be wasting time going up and down all those aisles.

I get my stuff and leave and maybe use the bathroom and can get in and out in under 20 minutes, usually.

I'm referring to East Texas not Eastern Texas. Besides the fact that I have to take the easttex freeway to travel to Longview from Houston Houstonians don't consider themselves East Texans. Terrell,TX is literally the closest location to East Texas and that's in between Longview and Dallas.

I love Bucees bc the bathrooms are clean and bright and consistent from location to location. I will stop at any Bucees in any state bc they are consistent across the board. So YAY. My husband and I and our young son drive to Florida twice a year. We plan our stops according to Bucees locations. We do this bc every single other bathroom option is truly foul. Dirty. Roaches. Used condoms. Seriously its just next level gag inducing. Bucees never lets us down. The food and snacks are consistently good and dang it, those sweet little beaver cheeks are hard to resist!! When we drove to florida last may all the bucees statues out front had masks on. When we drove home 10 days later we pulled into the Bucees in Alabama and Bucee didnt have a mask on. In my world something shifted in that moment. It was Bucee the Beaver who gave me the best news I’d heard in two years. To me the place is attached to happy memories of traveling with my family and clean freaking bathrooms and Beaver nuggets. It’s not a cult. It’s Texas. I love it. We need to stop hating on EVERYTHING. If you dont like Bucees dont go there. More nuggets for me.
