Trip advisor ratings can be highly misleading so you have to read the reviews carefully. Even then, keep in mind that most people probably don't have the same food values as you.

Commercial travel has gone downhill, especially since tickets have become cheaper and almost anyone can afford to fly. Therefore, you get more trashy people on flights short and long.
