A normal person would acknowledge people in these situations, but Linden just zones out and doesn't respond.

I've noticed that too which is one reason I have a hard time understanding her character. She doesn't communicate and she hasn't even shown the slightest bit of emotion about bailing on her fiance. Holder shows more emotion than she does. Guess that's why I have a soft spot for the guy and a little more critical of her.

Last night explained Linden's personality problems to some extent. It was really good. I sure hope it doesn't get canceled because to me it just gets better and better.

Those scenes with the psychiatrist were ANNOYING. My professional background is mental health and that is NOT how people on suicide watch are treated. It also makes no sense that a psychiatrist would sign for someone to be released into their care and then walk away. HUGE legal liability there.

The personal journey that each character is taking towards a resolution of the murder is what makes this series for me. The sense of forboding in each scene and exchange of dialog reveals the hope for renewal in the universal human heart. When it became clear what Rosie's father was doing with the stepladder at the beaten teacher's house was excellent. Each character seems right on the edge of emotional breakdown and regrets over past mistakes, then they get pulled back towards redemption by the slow turning of events.

What bothers me is how did she end up being on suicide watch to begin with, who took her there?

The psychiatrist who signed her out is her ex fiance, maybe that is why they were moving so far away. Maybe he said she was NOT suicidal because he had treated her. Maybe the woman psychiatrist didn't believe she was either but just wanted to help her.

I know, poor Stan, trying to show how sorry he is. Then he brings the dog home for the kids.

I think she was set up by the Indian casino chief and whomever directed Rosie to be killed. When she (Linden) was in the room under construction she was hit on the head and knocked out. Fast forward and she's in lockdown suicide watch. You notice the psychiatrist was asking questions regarding Rosie tying it to Linden's other case where she broke down. Perhaps the psychiatrist was attempting to convince Linden she was crazy and part of her "therapy" would be to talk about what she and Holder really knew about Rosie's killing. A riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, oh my! Can't wait for the next episode.

Boy that just seems like so much bs that Linden's supervisor didn't do more for her when she got put into psych. I mean the Casino cops practically killed Holder and since their reservation he could override their say about her suicide attempt.
And that shrink...two small dark places....oooo what does that mean to you? Like a lot of crime doesn't happen in small dark places. And honestly Rosie wasn't really a child child murder.
I don't remember being 5. One night alone in the dark does not make for some huge psychiatric break. Not that Linden doesn't have issues. But she was right, that shrink wasn't going to fix her, not in 72 hours, not in a week. Not under forced incarceration.

Linden seemed hung up on the killer not wanting to see her eyes when she died....Maybe the killer put her in the trunk alive because he wanted her to suffer.

I can feel for Linden. I almost never say anything with any certainty. I think 100% surety is hard and as a cop I can see that would be sort of maddening.

Feel bad her ex-fiancee didn't at least even say hi, I think Linden would have been happy with a little warmth and understanding even though she knows its over.

So this is it, no season 3. They reveal in 3 episodes end of story?

I guess his ethics went out the window when they got engaged to be married. Just another plot hole you can drive a truck through.

I can't make heads or tails of the political conspiracy stuff any more and can't be bothered to try. I really don't know what keeps me coming back to this show apart from Holder. Yeah, he's pretty much it.
