I honestly don't even know how to process this lol. I mean, forget the snow, if we don't get some COLD soon it's going to be a disaster with regards to the economy up here - tourism really relies on that whole winter thing. I can think of several events that will be postponed or cancelled without some good winter weather.

There's 2 things that are helping me process this.

1. I think its still October.
2. Last year I gave up in December and BOOM! lol

This year is a different beast though. Just different.

Just came across this cool New Parameter called Snow Squalls. (SNSQ Parameter) Based off the WRF model.

http://www.weather.gov/btv/4kmwrf]Burlington, VT

It gives you a projected possibility where there will be snow squalls.

I was seeing snow flakes coming down on Glastenbury Mountain today but nothing that would stick or do anything.

christmas is always a crap shoot for skiing
it was weak last year if i remember right (although the mountains were open at least), after being really good in november.

statistically, i think we get a good 18"er sometime between november and early january
does that sound right?

Yeah Mansfield looked like very limited visibility early this morning...we got a dusting, been snowing on and off all day but I'm not getting attached to it since it will be gone soon lol. It was nice to see a bit of white though.

We woke up to 2" of fresh snow today and just picked up another 3 this evening. Wind blowing like crazy right now. If tomorrow was Christmas, it would certainly be white.
