Mansfield reporting 4-5" in the last 24 hours. Down in the valley it was pretty much all rain/freezing rain, but you can definitely see the line where things change to snow on the hillsides. A few cars at the gym this morning were covered in snow...

This has been an utterly depressing few weeks. Rain, rain, more rain! Any ideas when this might go back to normal??

Not in next 10 days, that's for sure. Since beginning of November I pretty much kept saying maybe after mid December things will change... I'm worried I may have to push that to January now.

Doesn't look like any big changes.. in fact looks the same. lol. Updated forecast map from OpenSnow.com

Probability still is higher for above normal snowfall in Central and Southern New England (VT included) and into Southern NY, NW NJ, and Eastern PA.

How does the sun feel there? Actually I see your under clouds today. Nevermind. It feels really strong here and a reminder why I really need below normal temps to feel comfortable. The sun at this latitude is horrible.

The soil is usually hardened up by now too but I've been transplanting stuff easily..

12pm temps. Just one of those years. In short sleeves outside and in the warm 40s/50s.

Sad to say but, we are going to continue the theme of having more above normal & seasonable days rather than below normal next 10 days at least.

Haven't seen the sun since Monday ha ha...I think we might get some tomorrow and Sunday though, which will be kind of nice. Might have to get out there and do my snow/winter dance ha ha.

Yes, please, do the dance and pick me up off the floor cause I'm ready to wave the white flag!

Get ready for boating, Golf, and outdoor stuff.

However .... I've seen many many times in the past where we were golfing one day and shoveling a few days later. It's New England. Expect the changes. We'll see.

yeah it has been super balmy. the ground gets soft by like 11am every day so far.
it will be interesting to see when the first big dump comes.

it seems like there is always one decent snowfall sometime between november and roughly new years, it's just a question of the timing and whether it all melts right after.

i'm hoping it all comes on December 24th or 27th or so, for all of the visitors coming up for the holidays.

There are 6 storms coming up in the next 14 days. Insanity is that none are snow. Of course anything past 10 days can change but its funny because I believe the rains vs snows.

Storms keep cutting to the Great Lakes and that's pushing the Jet stream north into Quebec which is bringing us a southerly flow (warmth!)

Euro model shows some arctic air for about the 18th. We'll see. Maybe that is a sign IF we can get timing and a storm to coming up which will drop snow.

Lots of frustrations out there. Just One of those years.
