I dont know whats sad.. That the temperatures I've had first 7 days of June matches mid March or that I had to wait for June to get below normal temps. lol

I guess I could have found other dates that resemble this too but I came across this one..

This is why I love weather in this state of Connecticut... take a look at the temperature difference just 35 minutes away from eachother. And its like that for the entire Western half especially as you go further north. Elevation plays a big role but its always so fun to see the weather differences in such a small state/area.

Almost 70F degrees at BDR(Bridgeport) and mid 50s in Waterbury.(728' elevation). 30 miles apart.

I'm at a chilly 59.

Not by much. There were quite a few mornings in "winter" that were 60F or warmer, at least in the Mid-Atlantic (not sure about Connecticut). Yet another reason why I hate the warm and often humid winters prevalent in the East; the potential for very warm mornings even in winter.

Thunder days: 0

Utter crap.
Forgot to add my rating for this month so far.

Normally I would go as low as a 0/10 rating for a crap month, but this month has exceed any expectations or imaginations by how cold, dull and wet it is, so for the first time ever I have introduced negative ratings. This only extends down to -2.

-1 indicates a terrible month with no hope, nothing good, nothing remotely usable and generally totally 100% depressing.

-2 indicates a dreadful disgusting month with like the above but which also has the distinction of being the coldest, dullest and wettest on record in combination.

Because this June so far matches the latter description, its first half has the dishonor of being awarded a -2 / 10 rating. It is highly unlikely that the rest of the month will do much better, with the second half perhaps receiving a 2, or maybe a 1 which would give an end result around 0. In order to get a 2 or above in the second half, the following conditions must be met, ALL, of them:

-No more rain unless from a thunderstorm FAILED ALREADY DUE TO LIGHT RAIN DRIZZLE
-At least 100 hours of sunshine from 16th - 30th
-At least two days with decent thunderstorms
-20°C to be exceed on at least 5 days

If none or only some of these conditions are met then a 1 is the highest possible outcome for the second half, given how pathetic the first half was as well. Then this month will go down as the lowest rated month in history.

At the end of the month I shall come back to this post and see how we did compared to my conditions, and the rating will be decided.

60°F morning is about impossible here in the winter. And probably so in Connecticut. Warmest minimum (excluding early December which isn't really winter here) was 40°F. 2nd warmest 33°F.

48°F was the warmest for New York City.
