22C is impressive for October in a continental climate..

And that 16C is pretty impressive as well.. we see occasional lows of 13C or 14C each winter, but of course those types of days stay the same temperature over 24 hours and includes a thick covering of stratus **** cloud

Not only will this month come in around 2c below average, it will also be extremely cloudy. When will we see a month with average sunshine again?

Dec 1982 had an exceptionally mild open and close to the month





Looks like a lot of rain headed towards Ireland and the UK

of course uk is famous for its rain and wet weather, among worst in world for this surely.

but how is mediterranean climate exist at such high latitudes in europe eg barcelona same latitude san francisco and new york but much warmer?

As usual the most affected area will be the area around Gerês mountains, in the border between Portugal and Galicia, 50mm predicted for my area

should reach 33c here, then go back to near-normals, around 25c

I wouldn't mind cooler weather at this point. I still have friends already fearing the coming winter. Some Italians speak like we live in Finland...
