You should prepare for that just in case. If a lot of snow falls it can knock down trees onto power lines. I was searching for my camping lamps and flashlights just in case. I've lost power a few times here and I have underground wire, but somewhere down the line it leads to a transformer on a pole.

To everyone... Another poster said we should get bottled water...

Do we really need to do that if we live in the suburbs and are connected to city water lines?

Just got a call.

The Power company is calling all residents to warn them of prolonged power outages if it does go out.

I think we need to worry about weak spots on roofs. They don't build them like they do in the northern states.

If home is built after 1980 they can support up to 2-3 feet where it's angled. Flat roofs are always a problem with that much snow.

Looking past the Blizzard for a second. Data from Euro12z showing Philly staying below freezing next 10 days except once (Friday) and is -7.5°F below zero next Monday morning.

Bottom line.... Nothing is going to melt except in direct sun and on roads.

Look at that qpf column. Wow. 1.48" temps in 20s.
