Same here, I weigh 212 pounds and am 6'1" as a height. I have a rather fit and muscular build, but I'm borderline obese according to the BMI. I'm in much better shape than 90% of people who are in the "healthy" range of weight for my height.
I think the first thing to do is that all police patrols should be in pairs. Having someone covering your back is indispensible.
Here all patrols are always pairs, and if you get pulled over, one officer approaches you while his partner goes on the opposite side. Cops rarely even say "show your hands where I can see them" here, as nobody carries a gun anyway here, and even if you have a gun, your buddy is ready to rush on the passenger's side or at least warn that this guy has a gun.
In the US highway patrols are alone. You pull someone over, and he might have a gun. And you're alone. BLAST BLAST.
The second thing is that get rid of the "stand your ground" attitude. If the general attitude is that "I'll just lit the guy up and then I'm a big man", you will have guns all around forever. But if you are charged with murder if you kill a burglar, that might have an incentive for people to get rid of their guns.
Muslim12 demonstrated well the mentality of some Americans. "Yeaah blast their brains out if they tread on me!!" If someone mugs you or break into your home, let them and collect insurance. Your so-called honour isn't lost.
And as a person with military training, I know how lethal modern assault rifles are, they are effective beyond belief that it's scary. Such weapons should never ever be allowed to an ordinary citizen.
I think we need much stricter punishments for some crimes. Read up on the murders of Anita Cobby and Junko Furuta, I think for those kind of people the death penalty isn't enough

That's another common mentality here that is just wrong. Death penalty should be abolished.
Re: guns...it's funny how gun lovers like to act all tough when in fact they are a bunch of *******. They're not capable of defending themselves like true men. Then again, that shouldn't be a surprise since white, gun loving, Republican males tend to be the most insecure people out there.

I think for those types of people death penalty should be abolished, or for people like Anders Breivik, their punishments should be much worse to make up for all the pain they caused people!

Funny how people justify gun ownership due to the concerns of an overbearing government yet support a government that tortures and murders its own citizens.
