Just glad that meteorological winter is almost over, and that this has been an overall milder than average winter, spring will be on cue(hopefully) this year and I am looking forward to seeing the first signs of spring in about a month.

My enjoyment of the seasonal warm up is very limited. I might enjoy it just a tiny bit in spring. But I don't really like it until it's June and warm enough to swim in the ocean. Spring in an annoying transition season.
There is a Delonix regia (Royal Poinciana) tree growing round the corner from where I live & I have been wanting one of the seed pods hanging off it for ages so I can try & grow one myself, but they were all too high up. Today on my way back from the shops I spotted a lone seed pod on the ground that must have been blown down in the wind, now to try & open it & get the seeds out

They seem to be common trees in med climates. Very beautiful blooms.
