Don't bank on it. Last 2 Febs here were insane above normal. I don't see this Feb being as hot as the last two for FL. Not even a 1" of rain for Jan yet so a dry year is coming.

A look at the temps at 9,000' this morning. Nice Upper low over Missouri causing some snowfall. Below freezing at this level over Texas and Louisiana coast.

Rain tomorrow here.

Potential for a bigger storm, maybe snowstorm next weekend.

Snowpack still on ground despite the sunny days and temps in the 40s yesterday. 2-3" of snow taking 1 week to melt.

We'll see. I think a cold pattern will establish itself by the second half of February just in time to ruin the start of spring here

We are so behind in snowfall averages right now. Every little bit helps

Of course. You didn’t think eastern North America was going to get away with not having a winter, did you? It was just moved back a bit that’s all.

Rain and 40F this morning. Temps may drop off enough to get some snow, maybe even as much as an inch but right now they're expecting the surface temps to hang on right at or just above freezing. So any snow won't last long, especially as it mixes with and probably changes back to some light rain tomorrow morning.

Sure hope so. Not a single arctic blast or snowstorm in this area yet. Complete and utter garbage so far.

But wow @ those negative anomalies forecast in Alaska in the Euro run. 20C below avg in the Bethel area for the first week of Feb!? Seems like they're finally having a good winter after several terrible ones.

Just saw that. But no, it implies that 72 is within the comfortable range, not that anything cooler is cold and anything warmer is hot.

Just the worst way to go about it. Cold October and November. Blow torch December and January and it will probably get cold half-way through February and last most of spring

Right now most mets and models are still betting on a torch for the next 2-3 weeks. What happens beyond that is to be determined
