Heh. Don't worry. It'll hurt at first but you'll soon feel better.

I definitely dislike being called that, though I don't care if people direct it at someone else.

"Cali" for california. It is always used by people trying to sound like hip cool insiders, when in fact most Californians seem to hate it.

It jake me want to slap the user and say "you are not hip or cool and you do nto know what you are talking about, The place is called California. "

Are we going to start using cutsy teddy bear names for all the states? Arie, Missie, Michie, Massie, Yorkie, Virginie (I guess they arelady use that one), Florie, Texie Somehow a cutsy teddy bear name for texas seems particularly inappropriate). Montie,

Frisco or San Antone drives me crazy...as well as the locals. Didn't we go through these before?

Some of us here in Texas call it Taxes. And we don't mess with Taxes.

See, if I were using it, it would not be to sound hip because that's not an ambition of mine in life. It would be a slur, based on the prominence of the city in Colombia and the popularity of Colombia's main product in certain Hollywood circles. That's what I always thought people were getting at.

I've heard this a couple of times now in Hollywood movies (we all know how they love to start trends with words that make absolutely no sense): using the word "organic" to replace "natural" as in, "Just let it happen organically." My God, those people are so Moderator cut: language pretentious.
