I don't think I've ever heard any say anything quite like that. I've heard "I'm gonna go to the store", though.

I thought of this post yesterday. I've heard many people say "norf" and "birfday", but for the first time yesterday I was speaking with someone who substituted the "f" for the "th" at the beginning of the word. Her church has six fousand members.

I would have asked her how many a fousand is.

Locally, we regularly
hear mirk (milk), burggy (buggy/shopping cart), ChrITmas (Christmas), birtday and birfday. And from my own sister - frigidator , basghetti. NOT local dialect. Just poor speech, enunciation, etc...

I have an old friend, dating back to HS days, who always used to pronounce, "Mississippi", as, "Mississiffi".
During a recent conversation, I noticed that, at the age of 66, he still mispronounces the name of that river/state.

I have known a person for decades who had difficulty with "f" and "p", frequently substituting the latter for the former in speaking (and only when the letter was at the beginning of the word). It might have been due to a slight speech impediment

Sometimes we should cut people some slack, just out of kindness, even if their errors are due to laziness or ignorance (and even if it grates on our nerves).
