Description: In the basement of the Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium (described previously in this chapter) is the university’s Mineral Museum. Rock hounds or other folks interested in gems and minerals will appreciate this small but excellent exhibit of more than 2,000 rock and gem samples, some of which are rare and most of which were excavated in Arizona.
