Description: Owner Gary Mohan first came to Gettysburg on a trip to research an ancestor who had been in the Battle of Gettysburg. Gary and his wife liked the town so much they decided to make it their own. Some of the fine cigars available here are Arturo Fuente (including opus x), Drew Estate, Cusano, and Padron (1964 series). Gary also has a beautiful selection of pipes, many in custom-designed cases. Be sure to check out his Church Warden pipes when you stop by. If you’re not really a smoker but you’d love to walk the battlefield with a cigar, Gary can also steer you to a mild blend that won’t have you regretting your indulgence. Also available are tobacco melds, snuff and chew, period-appropriate pipes, and logo shirts and hats. Gettysburg Cigar Co. is closed on Tuesday.

Description: You can dress in period clothing and have your picture taken in the building where General Reynolds was taken after he was shot and killed on the battlefield during the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. Pictures are taken with a digital camera, and prices are based on the number of people in the photo. The cost for two people is $25, and the wardrobe and accessories are included in the price. After you’ve sat for your portrait, you choose which picture you want printed out. You receive either two 5-by-7-inch or one 8-by-10-inch portrait with one standard heirloom-look mat. Description: Open since July 2000, this large Harley Davidson store is located about a mile east of the US 30 and US 15 interchange. Open daily, you’ll find everything here you need to ride your hog in style. You can also buy a bike here, rent a bike, or have your bike repaired. Battlefield also participates in many area events, such as History Meets the Arts in April (see the Annual Events and Festivals chapter), when they host artists who create hog art.

Description: This is Gettysburg’s tattoo and body-piercing shop, open since 1994. Owner Stacy McCleaf has won numerous awards for her tattoo and flash designs and considers herself an artist, which is why you won’t find any temporary tattoos in this shop.
