The buns are self service, but left in the bags or people to get themselves. The director told the employee they need to be on a tray and have tongs available.
Observed the employee go from using the cash register and taking money to doing food prep. There is only 1 employee in this area so it makes it hard for her to be in multiple places at once. She said that she uses hand sanitizer instead of washing her hands. Explained using tongs or hand sanitizer isn't a replacement for hand washing. She washed her hands correctly during inspection. Per manager they're moving the cash register so it will be easier for her to wash her hands. Make sure all employees in this area know that when they change tasks they must wash their hands.
there is buildup in handles of coolers and freezers throughout the serving area and kitchen. There is grease accumulated on the shelf by the fryer. There is an accumulation of food debris in the tracks of the cold holding display unit.
The paint on the floor of the walk in cooler is coming off.
The coving is missing under the excellance award.
