The Frisco Shootout

Elfego Baca 1865-1945 was a gunman,lawman,lawyer and politician in New Mexico. As a Deputy Sheriff he arrested a drunken cowboy and shot two of the cowboy's friends who tried to stop him. Baca was chased into an adobe home by 40 cowboys who fired thousands of shots into it. He returned fire killing 4 cowboys and wounding 8 others. The siege lasted 33 hours before the uninjured Baca surrendered. He was acquitted.

The Apache Kid

A White Mountain Apache born Haskay-Bay-Nay-Ntal in the 1860s he became a 1st sergeant in the Indian Scouts. He was involved in a drunken riot in Mexico and fined 20 dollars. He became a fugitive when he escaped from a guardhouse where he was sent for drunkenness and killing a man. Rumors circulated well into the 1930s that the Kid was living near the Mexican border.

Captain Jonathan R. Davis 1816-1890s?

In 1854 Davis and two companions were attacked by 14 outlaws on a trail in California. His two friends were killed but Davis fought back with two revolvers and a Bowie knife killing 11 and causing the other 3 to flee for their lives.

Hardwood floor damage due to water vapor
