Posted 07-28-2015 at 10:09 PM by Continuum

1. All humans are infected with an unavoidable existential dilemma {ED} embedded in the DNA/RNA.
2. Note -this ED generate a drive that is more fundamental and stronger than the sexual libido.

RoughRiders, Tuesdays, Empty Seats, And Tacos

Posted 07-28-2015 at 08:42 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Okay, so it's not a Friday or Saturday night, but any time is a good time for a dose of minor league baseball. And Frisco, Texas, offers such an inviting backdrop for the flyballs and homers.

Where better place than Dr Pepper Ballpark? After all, the Frisco RoughRiders are right up the road from me, so they've got a nice diversion when I can't get to the major league games. The home of the Rangers' AA team is also the home of Taco Tuesdays. I get two tacos for...

Humility

Posted 07-28-2015 at 05:24 PM by Stymie13

The father is separated or divorced from the mother, who's children protect their brother against his wife, their sister in law, and the father's girlfriend and her daughter, and his dream which the girlfriend's daughter is the driving force forging him ahead. From the opening scene, it's like you're watching a Dardenne brothers' film. Another Big Night, so to speak. And I thought the dance in Jean Renoir's The River was the be all end all.

Container Choices

Posted 07-28-2015 at 04:45 PM by Nonchalance

Last year, we started vegetable gardening again, after a ten-year gap. But this time, we did it all in containers. Last year we had some pretty good success with a cherry and a patio tomato, and some Cherokee wax beans. Not so much potatoes...never buy dollar store dirt!

This year we were dumb enough to put two indeterminate tomatoes (Black Krim, Black Prince) in a little bitty Earthbox.

They fell over. We propped them up with a ladder. They're almost horizontal,...
