So here's my dear daughter hitting me up again for guess what...MONEY! Her girlfriend's parents have invited her to spend a week at a beach. Hubby and I think it's to return a favor when their daughter spent the week with us at the beach as well, and picked up all of the girl's meals. But then, my daughter, as much income potential she has at the moment due to a very liberal good grades incentive program, seems to never have any money left! I dunno...I truly think that kids of today live...

A Walk In The Park

Last Friday I was feeling very low. Early Saturday morning my wife suggested we take a walk, to try and cheer me up. At the time I really didn't want to, but I reluctantly gave in. So me, the kids and our dog piled in the car and we headed downtown. It's only a short drive and we arrived and parked the car (free parking on the weekends )

What is Wrong with America?

I turned on the TV today for the first time in a while. When I normally do watch TV it is usually something informative such as the History Channel or National Geographic. Today, I just scrolled through the list of what was on "regular" TV to get an idea if there was something else to watch.

What absolutely befuddled me is the massive amount of garbage shown not only on cable but on the local channels as well. Reality TV. Pffttt! Reality, my arse! Reality TV seems to have...

Realistic or depressing?

I'm 44 years old (45 in October! ), and all of a sudden it seems like I'm experiencing more aches and pains. Nothing serious or life-threatening, but annoying. They're just twinges here and there, like background noise right now.

You know how you start hearing those weird squeaks and rattles in your car as it starts to get older? And then the engine starts sounding funny, and you soon realize it's time for a new car? Well, I'm starting to feel that way about my body.
