Havers that! The salmon put up a fairly decent fight...especially if you snag them in the tail

My son snagged a red in the rump end...probably 18-19 pounds. It took three of us to get it in to release it. The silvers are smaller, but they do put up a good fight. You have to remember, this is from a person that is used to pulling in trout and walleye, maybe a bass or two - all from Wyoming. Carp are the closest I can compare to as far as the fight waged when reeling them in.

I've only ever caught little bluegills off of our pier in Rhinelander BTW, the life of the salmon is probably the saddest story I've ever heard.....I'm pretty sure I've posted this on this forum before so I repeat myself again.

Agreed, but sometimes it takes a little practice before getting it right. I know it took me forever to learn how to post pics on here & even now I sometimes screw up.
