Been busy doing, well, nothing the last few days I've had off.

Here are a few photos I took a while a go...

View from the Butte, Glaciers, Knik Glacier lower right.

Lane Prospect, deep in Archangel Valley.

May have posted this before, not sure. View from Mint Glacier Trail looking back to Fishhook Rd.

[quote=bortstc37;11524999]my wife and dog and i went for a walk on the beach.

our dog got mad at the ice.

Ha ha - nice to see that your dog is short haired but still enjoying the beach/ice. I went for a walk on the beach today, too, but live in the 50th state so it looked a little different. Will be up there with the dogs in Dec and it will be an interesting experience for all of us, I am sure (one is a skinny little short haired thing like yours). Gave me a chill to see Warptman's icefishers sitting on the ice like that, though. Where are the nice huts like you see in Wisconsin or wherever else they haul fish out of holes chopped in the ice?

The huts are in Wisconsin. We don't use huts up here!

It will take forever to go through all of the pages on this thread, (I only hope to live so long), but all I can say is WOW! They are worthy of a National Geographic calendar and then some!!!!!!!!! What a beautiful, pristine area!

I thank all of you for sharing your precious photos of Alaska! Simply gorgeous!

Just a random shot of a corner in our neighborhood when we took the pooches for a walk. Taken about 2pm, and the sun is heading down.
Our poochie was very excited to see the snow as well as her "Mom".
